Positively People Made Our Organization Financially Healthy

Trillium Family Services is Oregon’s largest not-for-profit provider of behavioral health for children. We serve about 6000 children each year. That’s not including their families. It’s not including all of the connections that we have in school. From an impact perspective, we’re probably touching the lives of about 30,000 people in Oregon each year.

Family Business Financial Crisis

Unfortunately for us, along the way, we had a financial crisis that was severe. And so we brought Jean Meeks- Koch and Positively People in and she really did a deep dive into what was happening financially. I almost think it was like a forensic study of all of our financial systems. We were able to get through that crisis within a year and with outcomes that not only I could live with, but that our board, our community, and we’re actually pretty amazed by where we ended up. So Positively People in Jean Meeks have been an incredible addition to the Trillion Family Services and all of the work that we do.

Family Business Strategic Planning

They’re not just coming in one day at a time here and there to come in and consult. They have become, I think, an essential part of this team. Jean also brings with her a really strong focus on strategic planning and organizational culture. So all of those skills together, I think it just helped position Trillion to be in a place right now that I think is very effective. She’s there for those times that we really do need additional answers, we need support.

And Jean has consistently, and I would say pleasantly been there for those times.

A 90-Day Stewardship Plan.

Stepping into greater responsibility inside a multigenerational enterprise requires more than good intentions. It requires clarity, consistency, and visible stewardship.

If you are serious about being seen as a capable, trusted leader, not simply the next in line, you need a structured plan. Inside, you will:

  • Clarify your real authority and decision rights
  • Identify capability gaps that quietly undermine trust
  • Strengthen relationships with key non-family leaders
  • Define your leadership voice
  • Create visible commitments that shift perception

Credibility does not happen automatically. It is built intentionally.

Start your next 90 days with clarity.
