Social Impact
At Positively People, our work doesn’t stop at boardrooms and family business strategy. We believe leadership also means service. That’s why we proudly support grassroots initiatives that restore dignity, provide safety, and create opportunity for communities in need.
Empowering Lives Restoring Hope Inspiring Change
Our founder, Dr. Jean Meeks-Koch, has made it her mission to support healing for survivors of gender-based violence and children in crisis. Her most passionate endeavor: transforming a recovery centre in Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya.

The Kasarani Gender-Based Violence Recovery Centre
This vital center provides essential care, support, and safety to survivors across multiple Kenyan communities. But the facility has been operating under dire conditions—no clean water, a failing sewage system, and crumbling, unsafe infrastructure.
Raise the Rusty
In 2022, we launched Raise the Rusty, a community-led initiative to remove a dangerous, abandoned vessel from the seafloor of Charleston Harbor. What started as a local passion project became a powerful movement—raising $15,330 to support environmental restoration through WoundedNature.org.
WoundedNature.org is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that deploys veterans and volunteers to clean hard-to-reach coastal areas—restoring natural habitats and ensuring cleaner, healthier waters for future generations.
