Jenna brings five years of experience as an academic to her role at Positively People. Jenna’s teaching and research are rooted in the belief that the quality of our relational and professional lives is intricately tied to the quality of our communication.
Her expertise in interpersonal and family communication has prepared her well for our focus on family-held businesses. Informed by qualitative approaches to communication, her work explores how families navigate periods of change and challenge. This work has included analyses of emerging adulthood, parent-child estrangement, dual-career couples, and financial uncertainty. Her research has been published in outlets including Western Journal of Communication, Women’s Studies in Communication, Communication, Culture & Critique, and the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. She seeks to conduct socially-meaningful, translational work that has practical applications for personal and professional relationships.
